"We finished A Passage To Clear and we just had to get out and play the record...". Miner found drummer Nolan Stolz and then recruited bassist Darren Copeland. "I think Nolan saw an ad posted at the university looking for an artsy drummer or something...we chatted on the phone and I remember him asking who my favorite guitarist was and I think I said Steve Howe and he said...I was hoping you'd say that! Says Miner...."Darren and I had been playing off and on for a while just really loose and I told him about this Nolan fellow, it seemed from talking we'd had a lot in common; so we set up this jam and I believe the first thing we played was the 11/8 thing from Labyrinth and Nolan just found the pocket in seconds...I thought...this could be good!"
