HEAVENS CAFE' | |
LAST SMILE SUNSHINE
ASTRALOGRAPHY
HEAVENS CAFE'
NEVER ALONE
CLASSICAL MAN
LABYRINTH
TOWER OF INFORMATION
AGAIN
FLOWING HOME
It was morning and we were alive
I was smiling and thanking the sun
as life seemed revived, just for a while
had no clue she was soon to arrive.
It was fun to gaze into the sky
But the planes that flew by
dropped their bombs all over our town
It's a really bad day.................
We go stumbling dark through the land.
Not a candle of hope in our hands
only wind blowing flickering light--
all over my plans
now we're all gone
looks like I won't be home for awhile
Gone through the mist of a motionless moment
now I realize what we've had
so inviting to focus the lens
I lay calm tonight
Forever
Wisp me away thought the night
boundless, peaceful survivor
expanding infinitely wide
Endlessly floating by, visual colors fly
music rains down from the skies
Forgotten memories, songs like they used to be
echoing chants haunt the night
Sometimes, it's so hard to believe what you dream
Things keep changing unfolding new scenes
These great lessons of life keep revealing
like the sun rising hot from the sea
We've waited so long for you to arrive
We've watched you so clearly, through all your life
Dear Lark welcome home your at Heaven's Cafe'
We're happy to see you there's no bills to pay
I come from a land past the dimmest of stars
an ethereal guardian who's never too far.
Sit down my friend, won't you join us for tea?
We'll show you who you were, last time around
We'll show you again one more time paint the town
but don't worry Lark you were better this time
the anger inside worries me not the wine
the future uncertain, yet your pathway is clear
to flow through the valleys of love, light, and fear
to answer the questions of lives long ago
a brilliant light tower shines truth all is known
So good luck my friend take it slow, we'll be pulling for you
You're still looking great after all you've been through
Your life of indulgence preserved you like new
so feel, see your past out back patio wall
then blaze through the meadows the forest so tall
Then deep in my coreI felt terribly strange
This mind of confusion, swirled thoughts rearranged
lean back through my chair watch the luminous show
a quick glimpse beyond to a past we once knew.
Came in on a tidal wave of love
felt like a sunshine shower
spirits were dancing everywhere
Gave up that beatnik lifestyle
still in the darkest hour
only got to wait one more hour
Blew in on a draft of midnight breeze
locked onto the new horizon
got to believe Iím not alone
On my own
Iím on my own
Never Alone
Heís a classical man
with a wide open plan
Loveís to run up the tab
with the Lobster and crab
Heís a classical guy
Heís a sure bet to buy
into all that is suave
likes his greens and his mauves
a conservative plan
Thinks his life is ok
could get worse everyday
Something's getting to him
probably olives and gin
Isnít life what is seems
when your living your dreams
Doing everything right
got no love in his life
so condemningly cruel
as heís looking at you
Heís a classical man
with his chemical tan
swears he prays to above
read a book about true love
so completely untrue
what will he ever do?
It wasnít long and I wandered away
the cold gate clicked shut
seemingly my past behind
traversing slowly down the switched backs
into the jagged walled gorge
inaudible echoing voices
summoning me to a primal reunion
of fear and love
somewhere beyond the labyrinth
of my being lies a pasture
of answers to all my questions
this I know must find
for its all about truth not
logic and reason which make
us blind and growth the
ghost of progress we leave
so elusively behind us.
havenít we, canít we, wonít we
reach beyond the challenges set forth by time
to more slowly discover, and discover and discover.
now the lights of the cafe fade away in a a haze
so the light from the stars enhance their shade
and the time is right now and
the journey begins tonight!
let the sign show the way!
Turn left the sign said at the valley of fire.
Go past yellow mountain, veer right near the spire
then over the rainbow, through gold and green meadows
youíll know youíve arrived when the star lights the tower
it will glow.
Thirteen days later with night finally falling
The moon passing Saturn shines light from a distant star
Completely arranging so slowly, before me
I stumble to get a glimpse clearing my frozen anxious eyes
Ethereal light waves high frequency blinding
so brilliantly golden at least for this common man
the tower assembles magnificent glory
as tall as a mountain as pure as a crystal alpine dream
Sun shaping being, show me where Iíve been
where am I to go ...........will I ever know
all there is to learn..... can I speed the growth
am I wasting time .....Is this life benign
How will I know for sure?
Tower of crystalline sparkling visions
clairvoyantly piercing all knowingly evergreen
give me the secret to tandrolous garden!
Young man!
Oh, yes sir? .
Thereís nothing for you here
I know youíve come a long way but your questions are not clear
From my deepest understanding your sickened by your past
You need to be assertive, but the anger must be cast.....
What must I do?
My journey must go on
I will not give up now
Will you give me a clue as to what Iím supposed to do?
clouding night sky
blocking light from the stars
without warning it vanished
so quickly before my eyes
the last bits of stardust
fell soft on the cold stones
the only remains of a
meeting unchallengingly cruel.
Thank you for coming, but now you had better go home!
Hey, I just found out I get to
do it all over again
Baby in a a crib
with a wicked little grin
get to show those gums again
Flunked that test
with an F I guess
Do it once again
Never say no
to the midnight show
Lark you came home late again
Got a great job
but you work like a slob
guess Iíll get fired
! again.
Never got mail
except that first week in jail
sheís such a lovely friend.
Just found out what itís all about
live my life again
Get a toupee
all my hairs turning gray
lose some weight and Iíll be thin
make lots of money
you know sheíll take it all you dummy
Oh I never seem to win
Guess Iím gonna die with a tear in my eye
get to do it all over again!
Sometimes a life
cuts us short on the deal
then sometimes it gives back
the life that it steals
but never the better
the price that we pay
to live out the dream
of our love in the play
